We are sure that the host in you has already started making plans to keep your guests entertained throughout the night. You have the playlists ready and have finalized the menu from starters to desserts. To keep your party pad in sync with your theme for the evening, we have brought some DIY home décor ideas for which you need your old jewellery. Take out your old ornaments which you do not use anymore, scissors and glue and put your craft skills to work to decorate your home with a personal touch.

  • Curtain holders

Put that stack of old bracelets or necklaces to good use and give your curtains a decorative holder. All you need to do is take out the old necklaces, chains, bracelets and bangles which you no longer wear and use them to hold the curtains. Another way to make an artsy impression is to use your old danglers or studs and stick them on a bracelet and use them as a holder. Neckpieces are easy to use as curtain holders as you need to tug the two ends of the necklace around the curtain and fasten them. Let your imagination flow till you get the required look for your curtains.

  • Light decorators

If you have a lot of bulbs and different types of lights here and there, you have a great scope to give a ‘bright’ twist to your home. Use a plastic or earthen vessel with cutwork in an inverted fashion and decorate its rim. Hang your old long chains and stone necklaces on them in a vertical fashion. If you want to give a discotheque feel, all you need to do is wrap the bulb in a thin colourful film.

  • A filler for empty walls

This one is our personal favourite considering there is a lot of scope to imprint your personality into the art.  Take a wooden rod along with your old jewellery and a nylon wire. You can tie the earrings one by one at a short distance and continue till you are satisfied with the length of the string. These decorative strings can be fastened on the rod which you can easily fix on the wall. Use ribbons of different colours and designs to make the wall art more vibrant.

  • The Corner

The bar corner is the most visited place in your house when you throw a party. Make the re-fills fun with by using your old stud earrings to transform the backdrop. You can use wallpaper and then decorate it with the studs by simply sticking them in a particular fashion. Show your hold over art by making the wall your playground. This corner can make or break the arrangement of the house. So we recommend that you visualize first and then go for it.
