Size Matters!

Size Matters!
A guide to ring sizing
If you’ve ever purchased or been gifted a ring, you know that having it fit properly is the most important thing. No one likes constricted fingers or rings so loose, they might as well be bracelets.
Size definitely matters when it comes to having your dream ring. If you step out and go to your nearest jeweler’s, you’ll see them whip out and take your measurements in the blink of an eye. There’s absolutely no hassle there.
But what if it’s a gift? What if it’s an online purchase? What if it’s both?
If you want to get a fit that’s snug, knowing how to measure a ring is extremely vital information.
The first step to knowing a good ring fit, is defining it. Experts say that a ring is meant to fit snug enough for it not to fall off but loose enough for it to slide over your knuckle with a bit of resistance. As lovely as it may sound, we promise you don’t want a piece of jewelry attached to your body at all times.
A ring size typically amounts to your finger’s width in millimeters. It’s important to have a sturdy and reliable measuring tool, otherwise the sizing may be slightly off, but that makes a world of a difference to its wearer.
The easiest way to measure your finger is by using a fine string - some wool or a long strand of floss. Tie it around your finger of choice and mark where the string overlaps. Untie it and line it up against a measuring tape, and there you have it - your ring size. When purchasing your ring always remember to go to the sizing chart and measure up your length against its corresponding size number.
If you already have a ring that fits perfectly, measure the width of that and compare it against the chart for a more accurate result that is definitely closer to something you know fits you well.
Of course, you can always go all out and order yourself a ring measurer online (we’re extra like that), but any of these above methods work pretty much the same.
We wish you luck on your ring sizing mission! May the force be with you and we sincerely hope you can stay undercover until the big reveal.
